Whilst we welcome donations of all kinds (both new and pre-loved items), there are certain things we cannot accept:
- Car seats
- Upholstered furniture where the Fire Safety label is not attached
- Microwaves
- Window/door blinds
- Unboxed Christmas trees
- Bike/motorbike/riding helmets
- Mobility aids except wheelchairs or 3 or 4 wheel walkers
- Old fashioned suitcases
- Used duvets/pillows
- Moses baskets
- Mattresses
- Cot mattresses
- Dismantled furniture
- Soft toys without CE label
- Electric blankets
- Medical equipment
- Power tools without instructions
- Curtain poles – unless new in packaging
- Medication / medical supplies
- Knifes/crossbows/guns/ammunition/swords
- Smoking paraphernalia
- Gas appliances
- Hard wired electricals i.e light fittings/wall lights/storage heaters
- Copy CDs/DVDs
- Video recorders / tapes
- Foot spas
- Printers
- Swimwear (we can accept this if it is new and has the sanitary seal in)
- Lingerie, underwear and socks (unless brand new and labelled/with tags)
- Real fur / Ivory / bone / tortoise shell items
- Petrol or diesel fuelled items
- Perishable items
- Desktop computers / computer towers
- Damaged or broken items
- Soiled or heavily stained items
- White goods: washers/dryers/dishwashers/cookers/
- Fridges/freezers/fridge-freezers (on occasion we are able to accept these at our Fleetwood furniture shop, although we ask you please contact the store at 01253 878995 first)
If in doubt, ask yourself if you would buy the item you're wanting to donate. Is it clean? Is it broken? Has it got parts/pages missing? Is the pair matching or two odds?
