We have a high street shops across the Fylde coast, from Cleveleys to St Annes and Lytham. Staff and volunteers work hard to raise vital funds for Brian House Children’s Hospice by dedicating their time to running our charity shops and ensuring our customers are happy.

We sell a wide variety of ‘pre-loved’ items which are donated by you, our supporters, and we are always looking for more goods to sell – anything from a winter coat to an electric guitar!

What’s in store?

We always need good quality clothing, handbags, shoes, books, bric-a-brac and jewellery, but bigger items are also in demand. Donations of toys and nursery equipment, good quality furniture and small electrical goods are very welcome.

Whether you are looking for a bargain or want to make some room at home, here’s what we are always looking for:

  • good quality clothing and shoes
  • children’s clothes, toys and games
  • books and multimedia like DVDs, CDs and vinyl
  • accessories, non-pierced jewellery, belts, handbags
  • bric-a-brac, crockery, glassware, bakeware, household linen and ornaments
  • unwanted gifts

Our Brian House shops are part of the Trinity Hospice shops chain, with branches across the Fylde Coast. We benefit greatly from that – especially in terms of stock donation, because it means we always have some super bargain buys, with stock changing regularly. Call in to one of our stores – you’ll find a warm welcome. Click here to find our list of stores and donation centres.

Having a big clear out? If you drive to the Trinity Hospice Donation Centre on Talbot Road, Blackpool, our staff and volunteers will help you unload, but if you can’t get to one of our shops or a donation station at the hospice, give us a bell. Very often we can collect bulky items from your door, so call us on 01253 395822.

Our stock comes from many sources. Some is donated directly to our shops, or collected from occasional door to door bag drops. Schools and businesses also have ‘donation stations’ across the community.

Please remember, all donations must be clean and of saleable quality. If you wouldn’t buy it then we probably won’t be able to sell it! We can take old clothes or textiles that are clean but no longer useable, because we sell them to textile merchants, but please don’t give broken or incomplete items. The better the quality, the more money we can raise from their sale.

Donate using the app

Gone for Good is the easy way to donate things you no longer need. Take a photo of your items and submit your contact details with the Gone for Good app. We will be in touch to arrange a collection.

Note: Current regulations mean there are some items we cannot re-sell. Cookers, fridges and furniture without current fire safety labels are usually a no-no. If you are unsure, just give us a call.

Could you spare a few hours?

We always need volunteers at our shops – people with a flair for window dressing or with customer service skills; though enthusiasm and commitment are the most important qualities! If you can spare three or four hours a week, we would love to hear from you.
