Pupils at Anchorsholme Academy turned Christmas elves for the day to raise a cracking £1,400.

The whole school took part in our Elf Run – a walk, run, jog or skip around the grounds wearing festive elf hats. Schools taking part get to choose when their run takes place, and how far the little elves travel.

Anchorsholme is the first of more than 30 schools signed up to take part in this year’s Elf Run, and we think it was the perfect way to kick off our festive season.

It was absolutely fantastic seeing everyone at Anchorsholme Academy get into the festive fundraising spirit with their Elf Run, and we are so impressed with how much money they’ve been able to raise.

The staff and pupils have officially launched our second ever Elf Run, and if they had half as much fun as we did watching them, then it must have been a wonderful day for them all.

Headteacher Graeme Dow said all the children and staff had a great time taking part in their Elf Run.

He added: “We have always tried to support different fundraising efforts for Brian House.

“When we saw the Elf Run advertised we were very keen to take part. We used it as an opportunity to formally open our Mile a Day track at school. “It was a great event and a lovely way to support an amazing charity.

“Best wishes to all the other schools who are doing an Elf Run this year.”

A huge thank you to everyone from Anchorsholme Academy and well done on an incredible achievement. They have played a big part in helping us care of our area’s most fragile children here at Brian House.
