This year's Bubble Rush is taking place on Saturday 28th March 2026 at 11am on Lawson's Showground, Blackpool.
The event will officially start at 11am, however you're invited to join us a little earlier to enjoy the live entertainment and warm up. Our Event Village will be open from 10.30am.
We advise that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet or stained.
We also suggest you bring something dry and clean to change into at the end, including spare socks.
Please be mindful that the t-shirts we provide are white and semi-transparent when wet, so you may want to wear something underneath!We also advise that you dress for the weather too. Blackpool's spring weather can be unpredictable.
This event is open to all ages and abilities!
We do advise that small children wear protective eye-wear such as goggles or funky sunglasses though, not least because they will be head deep at most of the foam stations (super fun for them!). We'll be selling the former on the day at the event, or you can buy some from our online shop ahead of time.
We also tell all our participants regardless of their age to be careful when wiping your eyes too if they have frothy suds all over them too.
We welcome all under 3's to take part in the event but for Health & Safety reasons they must be registered on our event as a child entry to take part.
The bubbles are a foam mixture and completely natural and safe.
The coloured foam is made from food dye and is water soluble as well as environmentally friendly.
The bubble commandos at each station are also professionally trained and will not shoot foam directly at your faces. The foam is also drier than most foams, which means you will not be slipping around at the foam stations.
There is a chance that this foam may stain some lighter coloured push chairs and clothes, so please be aware of this before you come to the event. To be safe we would also advise to bring towels to sit on in the car on your journey home to avoid any possible stains or grumpy designated drivers!
This event is all about having fun; it isn't timed and it's not a race.
With that in mind, no- you don't have to run! You can jog, walk or dance your way around the course.
Blackpool Bubble Rush is a 2.5km loop which you complete twice (5km in total). If however you'd prefer to just go round once, that's absolutely fine!
There will be a selection of refreshments on offer on the day of the event.
Yes, toilet facilities will be available.
Unfortunately, there will be no changing or shower facilities at the event.
There are limited spaces available at The Village Hotel car park, next to Lawsons Showground. Marshals will be there to help direct you on arrival.
Due to the limited availability we strongly advise that you arrange to be dropped off to the event, car share with other participants or use public transport.
Bag storage will be available for a suggested donation of £2. Please look out for the sign on the day.
Absolutely! We encourage you to be as colourful as you can for Blackpool Bubble Rush!
We'll be selling a number of fancy dress items at the event (think tutus, rainbow wigs, sunglasses and goggles), however if you want to sort your outfit in advance, visit out online shop.
We take our participants' safety very seriously at all our events. First aid will therefore be available.
If you do need assistance, please tell your nearest marshal or first aider.
No, but please ensure you complete the medical information on the reverse of your entry number ahead of the event.
Every participant MUST complete these details and pin their participant number to their t-shirt (front or back).
Friends and family are more than welcome to come and watch you take part in Blackpool Bubble Rush.
We kindly ask that you leave your pooch at home for this event.
Blackpool Bubble Rush supports Brian House Children's Hospice, which is why we kindly ask all participants to either raise sponsorship or make a one-off donation.
Your entry fee only covers the cost of putting on this event. 100% of sponsorship raised and donations made will go towards Brian House services and caring for children and their families on the Fylde coast.

If you've used JustGiving, you don't need to do anything! Your Blackpool Bubble Rush sponsorship page will close automatically after a few months and the funds will come directly to us.
If you've collected funds offline, there are a couple of ways to get it to us:
- Bank it all and then send us a cheque made out to ‘Trinity Hospice’
- Use our donation form on our website. Please remember to put ‘Blackpool Bubble Rush’ in the reference box and send us your sponsorship forms separately in the post.
Either way, we can’t wait to see how much you manage to raise! Just remember to ask everyone who’s eligible to GiftAid their contribution – it would mean we get an extra 25% from the Government at no extra cost to the person, all by just by ticking a box. How good is that?
We understand that not everyone wants or is able to raise sponsorship, which is why offer you the chance to make a one-off donation instead.

Aside from entry to the only Bubble Rush in the north west, you'll also get:

We would love to see everyone’s photos and videos, including before and after shots.
We wouldn't suggest getting your phone or camera out on the course though as there will be bubbles flying in every direction, so your phone is at risk of getting wet and/or being dropped! We strongly recommend putting your phone in a sealable plastic bag to avoid any damage.
If you're nervous about bringing your phone, ask friends or family not taking part to take some snaps of you. We’ll also have our own photographers attending the event, so you could leave your phone in your bag or at home. Please see our Q&A regarding our official photographs for more info.
As with all our events, there will be at least two volunteer photographers at this event. Members of our Fundraising Team will also be taking photos and capturing video.
Photos will then be shared in a public album on Facebook the week following the event, and linked to in the post-event email. Have a browse through and tag yourself and anyone else you know!
Please note that we don't receive all the photos from our volunteer photographers at the same time. If you think your pic was taken but don't see it online straight away, it might be because we don't have it yet. Please bear with us; we'll upload more as soon as we have them. Equally, the quality of the photo may be poor and the photographer may therefore decided not to share it. As a result, and to avoid disappointment, we strongly encourage participants to take their own photos, or ask one of our volunteers to take one for you!
Not much can put us off going ahead with Blackpool Bubble Rush, so the event will still go ahead even if it's a bit cold or rainy. However, we’d definitely think twice if the wind makes the event unsafe. Keep an eye on social media for updates nearer the date.
Our main advice is to wear footwear that you are happy to get wet, bubbly and potentially a little muddy.
